Faith Formation at St. Mary's

Enabling all to grow in faith

Family Faith Formation: A look back at 2017-18 and Planning for 2018-19

The 2018-19 PreK-5 grades faith formation program is  based on the principle that parents are the primary educators in the faith.  Family Formation combines a monthly church gathering where families enjoy a meal together in Maddock Hall before parents meet to learn about the monthly topic while the  children meet in grade-specific classes with volunteer teachers.  Students also meet on most Wednesday evenings with their teachers.

The education format altered after a parent survey and much discussion by the Advisory Board.  Parents are encouraged to learn about the changes and participate with their children.  See the school calendar for a complete schedule.

Totus Tuus, our annual summer enrichment program offered in conjunction with the Diocese of Winona, was held for our school age parishioners the week of August 6-10. Last year,  over 40 of our parish youth, and several from our sister parishes, participated in this faith-filled, fun week.   Plan on having your children attend next summer's Totus Tuus week----they will love it!

Our Mission

Family Formation is designed to help parents respond to the Church's call to be "the first and foremost educators of their children"* and to help families grow in the transforming love of God by understanding and living the Catholic Faith.
